2013-10-02Log: new logging library APIMax Kellermann1-1/+2
Prepare to migrate away from GLib. Currently, we're still using GLib as a backend.

2013-09-04Tag*: move libtag.a sources to src/tag/Max Kellermann1-2/+2
2013-09-04util/Error: new error passing libraryMax Kellermann1-12/+10
Replaces GLib's GError.
2013-09-03IOThread: use FatalError() on g_thread_create() errorMax Kellermann1-5/+1
New GLib versions don't fail.
2013-08-04*: use gcc.h macros instead of GLibMax Kellermann1-24/+24
2013-08-03audio_format: convert to C++Max Kellermann1-2/+2
2013-07-31DecoderAPI: pass rvalue reference to decoder_tag()Max Kellermann1-1/+1
Avoid duplicating the tag.
2013-07-30tag: convert to C++Max Kellermann1-1/+1
2013-07-29tag_handler: convert to C++Max Kellermann1-1/+1
2013-07-29ape: convert to C++Max Kellermann1-3/+1
2013-07-28tag_id3: convert to C++Max Kellermann1-1/+1
2013-07-28decoder_api: convert to C++Max Kellermann1-1/+1
2013-04-17don't use g_thread_init() with GLib 2.32Max Kellermann1-0/+3
Deprecated.
2013-01-30decoder_list: convert to C++Max Kellermann1-3/+1
2013-01-27DecoderControl, InputStream: use Mutex/Cond instead of GMutex/GCondMax Kellermann1-9/+6
2013-01-26input_stream: forward-declare the structMax Kellermann1-1/+1
Hide the definition from C code, to prepare the transition to C++.
2013-01-10io_thread: convert to C++Max Kellermann1-1/+1
2013-01-10input_stream: convert to C++ (internally)Max Kellermann1-4/+8
2013-01-09test/run_decoder,read_tags: remove obsolete dummy functionsMax Kellermann1-21/+0
2013-01-05DecoderAPI: _replay_gain() returns voidMax Kellermann1-3/+1
Let the function decoder_replay_gain() update decoder_control::replay_gain_db instead of letting each decoder plugin take care for that.
2012-10-04test/read_tags: wait until input_stream becomes readyMax Kellermann1-0/+19
Improved support for scanning http:// resources.
2012-03-19event_pipe, test: explicitly ignore write() return valueMax Kellermann1-1/+1
Some compilers are very picky, but we really aren't interested in the return value.
2012-03-19event_pipe, test: explicitly ignore write() return valueMax Kellermann1-1/+1
Some compilers are very picky, but we really aren't interested in the return value.
2012-02-13test/read_tags: call g_thread_init()Max Kellermann1-0/+1
2012-02-12tag_handler: handle arbitrary name/value pairsMax Kellermann1-1/+8
The new method pair() receives an arbitrary name/value pair. Support for this is being added to a few decoder plugins.
2012-02-11decoder_plugin: scan tags with callback tableMax Kellermann1-30/+25
Pass a callback table to scan_file() and scan_stream(), instead of returning a tag object.
2012-02-04test/read_tags: initialize the tag_pool libraryMax Kellermann1-0/+5
2011-10-20pcm_volume: "length" is a "size_t", not "int"Max Kellermann1-1/+1
2011-10-10pcm_{mix,volume}: pass only sample_format to pcm_mix()Max Kellermann1-1/+1
The other audio_format attributes are not used.
2011-09-16input_stream: non-blocking I/OMax Kellermann1-2/+9
Add GMutex, GCond attributes which will be used by callers to conditionally wait on the stream. Remove the (now-useless) plugin method buffer(), wait on GCond instead. Lock the input_stream before each method call. Do the same with the playlist plugins.
2011-09-13test/read_tags: initialize the tag_pool libraryMax Kellermann1-0/+5
2011-09-13test/read_tags: call g_thread_init()Max Kellermann1-0/+1
Needed for the I/O thread.
2011-08-24input/soup: new input plugin based on libsoupMax Kellermann1-0/+11
To demonstrate the new I/O thread. libsoup is well-integrated into the GLib main loop, which made this plugin pretty easy to write. As a side effect, we have to initialize the I/O thread in all debug programs that use the input API.
2011-01-29copyright year 2011Max Kellermann1-1/+1
2010-05-08mixramp: Adjust MixRamp threshold to account for ReplayGain.Tim Phipps1-1/+3
2010-03-21Add support for MixRamp tagsTim Phipps1-0/+8
Adds mixrampdb and mixrampdelay commands. Reads MIXRAP_START and MIXRAMP_END tags from FLAC files and overlaps instead of crossfading.
2010-01-18decoder_api: removed function decoder_get_uri()Max Kellermann1-5/+0
Use input_stream.uri.
2010-01-04decoder_api: added function decoder_replay_gain()Max Kellermann1-2/+7
This function replaces the replay_gain_info parameter for decoder_data(). This allows the decoder to announce replay gain changes, instead of having to pass the same object over and over.
2010-01-01input_stream: return allocated input_stream objectsMax Kellermann1-4/+4
Major API redesign: don't let the caller allocate the input_stream object. Let each input plugin allocate its own (derived/extended) input_stream pointer. The "data" attribute can now be removed, and all input plugins simply cast the input_stream pointer to their own structure (with an "struct input_stream base" as the first attribute).
2009-12-31Update copyright notices.Avuton Olrich1-1/+1
2009-12-31decoder_plugin: added method stream_tag()Max Kellermann1-0/+14
This is like tag_dup(), but works with an input_stream object instead of a file path.
2009-12-26decoder_api: added function decoder_timestamp()Max Kellermann1-1/+7
Remove the data_time parameter from decoder_data(). This patch eliminates the timestamp counting in most decoder plugins, because the MPD core will do it automatically by default.
2009-12-15input_stream: return errors with GErrorMax Kellermann1-1/+1
2009-12-14input_plugin: method init() returns errors with GErrorMax Kellermann1-1/+7
Not used by any plugin currently, but this eliminates the g_error() call in input_plugin_config(), so it's worth it.
2009-12-14input_stream: moved input_stream_global_init() to input_init.cMax Kellermann1-0/+1
2009-11-12include config.h in all sourcesMax Kellermann1-1/+1
After we've been hit by Large File Support problems several times in the past week (which only occur on 32 bit platforms, which I don't have), this is yet another attempt to fix the issue.
