* | tokenizer: new library replacing buffer2array()Max Kellermann2009-07-191-0/+2
|/ | | | | The new code is more robust and more flexible. It provides detailed error information in GError objects.
* encoder/twolame: new encoder plugin based on libtwolameMax Kellermann2009-07-141-0/+6
| | | | | | | This encoder plugin is a replacement for the LAME encoder plugin for those who prefer a "free" (non-patent encumbered) encoder library. Most of the plugin source code is copied from the LAME encoder plugin, since the LAME and TwoLAME APIs are nearly the same.
* Makefile.am: use WAVPACK_CFLAGS and WAVPACK_LIBSMax Kellermann2009-07-141-0/+2
| | | | Don't append these to MPD_CFLAGS and MPD_LIBS.
* decoder/sndfile: new decoder plugin based on libsndfileMax Kellermann2009-07-071-0/+6
|
* Makefile.am: disable test/run_encoder without pluginsMax Kellermann2009-07-061-1/+3
| | | | | If the encoder plugin API is disabled at compile time, don't compile test/run_encoder.c.
* output: use the software mixer pluginMax Kellermann2009-07-061-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | Do all the software volume stuff inside each output thread, not in the player thread. This allows one software mixer per output device, and also allows the user to configure the mixer type (hardware or software) for each audio output. This moves the global "mixer_type" setting into the "audio_output" section, deprecating the "mixer_enabled" flag.
* mixer/software: new mixer which controls filter/volumeMax Kellermann2009-07-061-1/+7
| | | | | | | This mixer plugin may be used instead of the traditional global software mixer. It integrates with the "volume" filter plugin, and can control the software volume of an audio output which has no hardware mixer.
* output: attach a filter chain to each audio_outputMax Kellermann2009-07-061-0/+2
| | | | | | | | This patch adds initial filter support for audio outputs. Each audio output gets a "filter" attribute, which is used by ao_play_chunk(). The PCM conversion is now performed by convert_filter_plugin. audio_output.convert_state has been removed.
* filter/convert: new filter which calls pcm_convert() on demandMax Kellermann2009-07-061-1/+10
|
* filter/chain: new library for creating a chain of filtersMax Kellermann2009-07-061-0/+2
|
* mixer_type: moved volume_mixer_type from volume.cMax Kellermann2009-07-061-0/+2
|
* filter/volume: don't use volume_level_get()Max Kellermann2009-07-051-0/+1
| | | | Added public methods to get and set the current volume.
* test: added program "run_filter"Max Kellermann2009-07-051-2/+22
| | | | This program runs filter plugins in an isolated environment.
* filter: added "volume" pluginMax Kellermann2009-07-031-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | The "volume" filter plugin will replace the current software volume code. One "volume" filter may be attached to each output device. This will allow the user to use hardware mixers for some devices, and software mixers for other devices at the same time. Currently, neither the filter API nor the "volume" plugin is integrated into MPD.
* filter: added new plugin API for filtersMax Kellermann2009-07-031-0/+6
| | | | | The filter API allows us to implement software volume as a pluggable filter, and we will be able to integrate libraries like SoX.
* Makefile.am: require automake 1.10Max Kellermann2009-06-251-1/+1
| | | | | Refuse to build with automake 1.9. 1.9 is quite old already, and I'm too lazy to test with ancient versions.
* doc: added Developer's ManualMax Kellermann2009-06-021-1/+5
| | | | Just a start...
* doc: fixed DocBook markup in doc/sticker.xmlMax Kellermann2009-05-151-1/+1
| | | | | The old sticker.xml used elements which are not valid in DocBook. Now that the file is valid, let's add it to $(DOCBOOK_FILES).
* Makefile.am: added doc/doxygen.conf to $(EXTRA_DIST)Max Kellermann2009-05-151-1/+1
|
* Makefile.am: run sparse once with all sourcesMax Kellermann2009-05-041-4/+1
| | | | Don't loop over source files, do all checks in one run.
* Makefile.am: ship DocBook sources even when documentation is disabledMax Kellermann2009-04-301-2/+2
|
* scripts: Remove mpd.spec, it was always half-baked.Avuton Olrich2009-04-291-1/+1
| | | | | Remove mpd.spec and makerpm.sh. It was never used or maintained and the distributors take care of this kinda thing now anyhow.
* Makefile.am: moved doxygen invocation out of HAVE_XMLTOMax Kellermann2009-04-261-3/+3
| | | | | The doxygen invocation was misplaced: it was only defined when xmlto is available.
* Makefile.am: moved source files to $(TAG_SRC)Max Kellermann2009-04-251-13/+25
| | | | | $(TAG_SRC) contains the names of all tag reader source files. Some of these are required for test/run_decoder.
* test: added program "read_mixer"Max Kellermann2009-04-211-4/+10
| | | | | | This little program is used to test mixer plugins in an isolated environment. This is ALSA-only currently, because we don't have a real "plugin list" yet, and I'm too lazy to implement a switch.
* configure.ac: detect libiso9660 with pkg-configMax Kellermann2009-04-131-0/+2
| | | | Fail if the iso9660 plugin is enabled but not found.
* configure.ac: detect libzzip with pkg-configMax Kellermann2009-04-131-0/+14
| | | | Fail if the zzip plugin is enabled but not found.
* Implemented basic icy support for the httpd outputHagen Schink2009-04-131-0/+2
| | | | | | [mk: folded with patch "Put icy related functions in extra source files"; moved icy_server.c from HAVE_CURL to ENABLE_HTTPD_OUTPUT; removed an unused variable]
* test: added run_input test programMax Kellermann2009-04-131-0/+12
|
* removed TODO fileMax Kellermann2009-04-101-1/+1
| | | | | Most of that was already implemented, and for other feature requests, we have the bug tracker.
* test: added configuration file readerMax Kellermann2009-04-101-0/+8
|
* make: gitignore is not necessary for distribution.Avuton Olrich2009-04-021-1/+0
|

|
* configure.ac: renamed --enable-oggvorbis to --enable-vorbisMax Kellermann2009-04-011-3/+3
|
* Makefile.am: use TREMOR_CFLAGS and TREMOR_LIBSMax Kellermann2009-04-011-2/+3
| | | | Don't append those two CFLAGS/LIBS in configure.ac.
* Makefile.am: use LAME_CFLAGS and LAME_LIBSMax Kellermann2009-04-011-0/+2
| | | | | Don't append LAME_CFLAGS/LAME_LIBS to MPD_CFLAGS/MPD_LIBS in configure.ac. Export them via AC_SUBST() instead.
* sticker_print: new library for sending stickers to a clientMax Kellermann2009-04-011-1/+5
|
* Configure/Make dependencies for cue/cue_tag.h/.cJochen Keil2009-03-311-3/+9
| | | | | | | Autoconf/automake support for libcue which is needed for cue/cue_tag.h/.c. Libcue will have/has pkg-config support so this is fairly straightforward.
* Makefile.am: use PULSE_CFLAGS and PULSE_LIBSMax Kellermann2009-03-281-0/+2
| | | | Don't add those to MPD_CFLAGS and MPD_LIBS.
* Makefile.am: use JACK_CFLAGS and JACK_LIBSMax Kellermann2009-03-281-0/+2
| | | | Don't add those to MPD_CFLAGS and MPD_LIBS.
* Makefile.am: use SAMPLERATE_CFLAGS and SAMPLERATE_LIBSMax Kellermann2009-03-281-0/+7
| | | | Don't add those to MPD_CFLAGS and MPD_LIBS.

| | | | Copy all tags know to MPD to the vorbis_comment.
* Makefile.am: added documentation upload targetMax Kellermann2009-03-151-0/+8
| | | | | This "upload" target uploads generated documentation to http://www.musicpd.org/doc/, and works only for my user account.
* httpd: new output plugin to replace "shout"Max Kellermann2009-03-151-0/+11
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Let's get rid of the "shout" plugin, and the awfully complicated icecast daemon setup! MPD can do better if it's doing the HTTP server stuff on its own. This new plugin has several advantages: - easier to set up - only one daemon, no password settings, no mount settings - MPD controls the encoder and thus already knows the packet boundaries - icecast has to parse them - MPD doesn't bother to encode data while nobody is listening This implementation is very experimental (no header parsing, ignores request URI, no icy-metadata, ...). It should be able to suport several encoders in parallel in the future (with different bit rates, different codec, ...), to make MPD the perfect streaming server. Once MPD gets multi-player support, we can even mount several different radio stations on one server.
